Teo Seng Farming Sdn Bhd was
incorporated on 22nd December 1983. The Company commenced its layer
farming business in 1991. In 1994, Teo Seng Farming became a 51%
owned subsidiary of Leong Hup Holdings Bhd with the aims of expanding
the Company's layer-farming business, increasing its competitive edge
in Peninsular Malaysia and to penetrate the overseas market.
Over the years, Teo Seng Farming has rapidly
developed into one of the large-scale layer farms in Malaysia with
an average daily production of more than 1 million eggs. Today, Teo
Seng Farming has been identified as one of the top 3 egg producers in
the domestic market by capturing about 5% market share. The premium
eggs produced by the Company under the brand name of "Happy Egg"
contributing about 10% of total sales.
Our quality chicks undergo their brooding stage
in our brooding farms and growing stage in our pullet farms that incorporate
good animal husbandry and management practices. Currently we are operating 7
layer farms, 5 pullet farms and 2 brooding farms, all are located in Johor
State of Malaysia. Our layer farms are modern, hygienic, and technologically
equipped with auto egg-collecting conveyor belt system, auto feeding system
and nipple drinking system, to ensure the eggs are produced under strictly
sanitary conditions.
Most importantly, we have implemented "All-In-All-Out"
system in our layer farming activity to achieve better production efficiency
and disease control. The Company is believed to be the first pioneer company
in layer farming to adopt this system in the Asean Countries.
With our high standards of quality control procedures,
our eggs are inspected and graded before being hygienically packed and distributed
to customers throughout Malaysia and Singapore, all within the same day, to ensure
the wholesome freshness and goodness of our eggs.
In order to be more competitive edges over its competitors,
Teo Seng Farming further form two wholly owned subsidiaries, Teo Seng Paper Products
Sdn Bhd and Teo Seng Feedmill Sdn Bhd in 1994 and 2001 respectively.
Teo Seng Paper Products Sdn Bhd commenced its operations to
produce paper egg trays in April 1995. Our sturdy, durable and environmentally friendly
egg trays are using recycled material. Our quality egg trays and services have always
gained a good feedback from our customers.
By adopting automated and computerized auto-mixing technology,
Teo Seng Feedmill is able to formulate premium and quality feeds especially suitable for
the consumption of layers at its different growing stages. We produce the best premium
feed for chickens that is free from harmful microorganisms.
In 2005, Teo Seng Farming further acquire 70% equity stake in Ritma
Prestasi Sdn Bhd. Ritma Prestasi is the sole agent for reputable international company,
Bayer Thai Company Ltd, to distribute some of animal health products in Malaysia, Singapore
and Brunei. The products are mainly catered for poultry farming and pets.

Egg - The Nutrient Value of Eggs
Although eggs contain 74% of moisture, the protein
content is high & also balanced. Hence, nutritionists
have always used egg protein as a standard, to measure
the protein content in other foods. Eggs also contain
various unsaturated fatty acids, iron, potassium, trace
minerals, vitamins A, E, K & B complex. Cod liver
oil contains the highest amount of vitamin D, with eggs
coming in second.
Human beings of all age groups are able to obtain a
balanced diet from eggs. As an example, hard-cooked
yolks are given to 6-month old babies as a supplement
for iron. When the babies are a year old, they can be
started on egg white. During the rapid growth stage,
eggs provide the nutrients required by the body &
therefore are the best food for children & teenagers.
Besides, eggs have high nutrient value but are low in
calories, easily digestible & absorbed by the human
body & hence, are suitable for the elderly. Because
eggs are easy to cook, delicious and yet so affordable,
they have always been included in the diets of medical
patients and the elderly.
